TBG+S Supporters and Chester Beatty Patrons will have a unique opportunity to meet artist Stephen Loughman in his studio at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. This is where Stephen produced the work for his solo exhibition Proven Answers, currently showing at the gallery. Stephen will discuss his career-long approach to appropriation of film imagery in his paintings. This tour will include an introduction to Stephen's current exhibition at TBG+S, which incorporates painting, sculpture and video. Proven Answers takes its title from the opening lines to the 1969 film version of Ray Bradbury’s short story The Illustrated Man and uses narrative strands from this film as its basis.
