Seamus Nolan: Traveller Collection Manual

25 November — 12 December 2021

The Traveller Collection Manual is a project to compile material relative to Traveller culture and history, to bring together disparate items, objects and activities which might contribute to a broader understanding of the problematics, and unique potentialities of critically diverse cultural frameworks.

The project seeks to open a dialogue around what an appropriate approach to integrating the narrative of Traveller History into the ‘National Project’ might look like. The project engages in a collaborative process of enquiry with cultural practitioners, activists and archivists in an exploration of contested histories to examine examine basic notions of representations in relation to Traveller culture and heritage.
