TBG+S Studio Artist Atoosa Pour Hosseini invites visitors to her studio to present two different publications that have been an important part of her recent work: a substantial monograph of the past ten years, as well as a new artist book produced for Dublin Art Book Fair 2022: A Caring Matter.
TBG+S Programme Curator, Michael Hill, will introduce the artist and her practice, and open with some questions about the publications.
Atoosa Pour Hosseini is a Dublin-based visual artist and filmmaker. Her work is influenced by historical avant-garde cinema, and explores questions about illusion, reality, and perception through the media of film, performance, and installation. She has shown her work extensively and won numerous awards nationally and internationally. Recently exhibited at Project Arts Centre, Dublin; Jeu De Paume, Paris; Irish Film Institute; The Dock; The LAB; Cork Film Festival; VISUAL, Carlow; Museum of the Moving Image, NYC; and Museum of Contemporary Art, Tehran. Her works were recently acquired for The Arts Council Collection and The Irish Museum of Modern Art Collection.
This event takes place as part of Dublin Art Book Fair 2022: A Caring Matter, sponsored by Henry J Lyons and supported by Dublin UNESCO City of Literature.
