This is an informal talk discussing art, history and place blending a tour of the exhibitions with further information about The Pumphouse site located on what was formally a graving docks. Considering the function of the graving docks-for the repair and maintenance of ships and as a site of assemblage – and, set against an impressive maritime landscape with the constant flow of movement between nature and the manmade, this talk will identify connections bridging Longest Way Round Shortest Way Home to the history of the location, dredging up subtle references to the surface for inspection and reflection. Devised and led by TBG+S Gallery Coordinator Anna Maye.
Meet at the orange cabin at the entrance to The Pumphouse, Alexandra Road, Dublin Port at 12pm.

Longest Way Round, Shortest Way Home is the title of two exhibitions by Yuri Pattison and Liliane Puthod at The Pumphouse, Dublin Port. The exhibitions are produced and curated by Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, in partnership with Dublin Port Company.
