Join artist Olga Micińska in conversation with curators Janice Hough and Marysia Więckiewicz marking the publication of a new artist book, Amanda: Clay in Ye Stomach.
Curators Janice Hough, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), and Marysia Więckiewicz, Project Arts Centre, discuss Amanda: Clay in Ye Stomach, a new artist book by Olga Micińska. The conversation spotlights the Dwell Here Residency Programme at IMMA and its potential for creative cross-pollination. Amanda is an incidental periodical and glossy magazine on technological matters. Olga, its editor, was a Dwell Here resident at IMMA in 2025 and will return to Project Arts Centre with a solo exhibition in 2027.
Olga Micińska is a practicing woodworker and combines practical aspects of craft with fantastical anecdotes, while projecting grounds for cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and handling of the material and non-material resources. Her work has been exhibited internationally at De Appel, 40th EVA International, 14th Gwangju Biennale, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Polana Institute, Thkio Ppalies, a.o.
Marysia Więckiewicz is the Curator of Visual Arts at Project Arts Centre, Dublin. As a curator and art writer she has worked with organisations including Wyspa Institute of Art, The Hugh Lane Gallery, IMMA, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, and Wexford Arts Centre. She founded Berlin Opticians Gallery which supported and exhibited artistic practices online and in unconventional spaces. She co-edited Paper Visual Art Journal (2014-2018).
Janice Hough is the Curator of IMMA's Dwell Here Residency Programme which aims to provide a platform for intergenerational and interdisciplinary research to engage with cultural, social, and political questions. The programme creates a supportive framework for collaboration, fostering innovation through shared inquiry. Each year the museum hosts up to 20 residents both working and living onsite at IMMA.
Event location information: This event takes place on the first-floor of the building, is in a space accessible by stairs and lift. The room will have low lighting and theatre style seating. For further accessibility information please contact Learning + Public Engagement Curator Órla Goodwin.
