Join us in Studio 6 for a showcase of portraits from Bealtaine's 2024 LGBTQ+ celebratory event, by Dónal Talbot.

Donal Talbot will host a walkthrough of the showcase at 5pm Friday 2 May with transgender activist Lynda Sheridan, who features in the showcase.

Prom Night Portraits features an array of Prom Night guests as they celebrated and reclaimed this significant moment at Street 66 in Dublin. Hosted in partnership with Outhouse at Street 66, ‘Prom Night’ was an inclusive event for older LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those who may not have been able to participate when they were younger, to don their finest attire with a partner of their choice and step back in time to recreate the magic of prom. Iconic drag artists Alan Amsby (AKA Mr Pussy) and Tina D. Parton performed, with a special photo-booth by photographer Enda Burke, The Wild Geeze, and music by DJ Ruth Kavanagh. Prom guests received lapel flowers from Adonis Flowers on their way in, as well as Prom Night cupcakes.

Artists Dónal Talbot and Sarah Gywnne captured some moments, through photography and film, both of which are being shown at Bealtaine 2025.

Sarah Gwynne’s film is available to watch online through the Bealtaine website, for free, during the month of May.
