LUX Critical Forum presents a screening of recent acquisitions, in the field of Artists' Moving Image, by Oberhausen Festival of Short Film.
Oberhausen has been a key innovator in terms of curatorial approaches to moving-image practices for over fifty years. The Oberhausen Manifesto, authored in 1962, still represents a key text in this regard an argument for the more radical possibilities contained within non-conventional film forms. Lars Henrik Gass has been Director of the festival since 1997 and has taken the festival in new and interesting directions in recent years. Following this screening of recently acquired works in the field of artists' moving image Lars will be available to answer questions about the works themselves as well as his ongoing work at Oberhausen.
This screening features the following five short works recently selected for acquisition by Oberhausen Short Film Festival:
L’amour sauvage by Lior Shamriz
xx-xx-xx-gewobenes papier by Michel Klöfkorn
River Plate by Josef Dabernig
False Twins by Sandro Aguilar
La Estancia by Federico Adorno

Stepping in to the TBG+S Gallery is always a transformative experience. Leaving behind the cobbled streets, touristy pubs and buskers of Temple Bar, we enter a place of integrity, contemplation and experimentation.
