RHA Director Patrick T. Murphy will lead TBG+S Supporters and RHA Friends on a tour through the exhibitions, The Vanity of Small Differences by Grayson Perry and Headland by Elizabeth Magill, following refreshments in the RHA Foyer.
The Vanity of Small Differences explores the artists’s fascination with taste and class. The six tapestries were created alongside the Channel 4, Bafta-winning documentary series All in the Best Possible Taste with Grayson Perry, 2012, in which Perry visited three very different regions of England, exploring the taste of the different social groups he encountered.
Headland is Elizabeth Magill’s first large-scale exhibition in Dublin since 2003. Magill is one of her generation’s leading painters and this exhibition presents a body of new work and will introduce her developing practice to a new and established audience. Headland is a touring exhibition, initiated by Limerick City Gallery of Art (LCGA), with shows taking place to date in Limerick and the Wilkinson Gallery, London. Included in this iteration will be a number of additional works that have not previously been exhibited.
On the day, TBG+S Supporters can avail of a 10% discount on RHA Friends membership, discounts do not apply to concession rates.
