DABF25 Curator’s Opening Talk | Flock
04 December 2025, 5-6pm
Join Dublin Art Book Fair’s Guest Curator Dr. Selina Guinness as she introduces this year’s theme, Flock.
08 July 2022, 11.30am - 12.30pm
Join artist Lynda Devenney to try your hand at creating sculptures using a special plant-based bio plastic.
Lynda Devenney will guide you through making gunky objects, which we will then, following patterns found in nature, join to an artwork the artist has created in the gallery. We will look at what we have in common with nature and discover how we can learn from plant life.
Lynda Devenney’s practice incorporates moving image, sculptural objects, sound and performance to explore the human body as an interface between space, objects and movement. She is a lecturer at IADT and NFS and completed a PhD in the School of Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art.
Gunky Objects is a family workshop suitable for children aged 6 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event takes place as part of the Summer School, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July, 11am -– 5pm. Click here for more information and events.
