Parents Welcome!
Temple Bar Gallery and Studios presents an interactive workshop for children aged 9 – 12 as part of Against the Enamel, an exhibition by Priscila Fernandes.
The workshop takes place on Saturday 29th March at 2pm,and will start with a short tour of the exhibition and discussion about colour, followed by an interactive workshop within the gallery space. Children will make their own painting experiments: discovering new techniques with colour, light and household objects, (possibly even painting on the windows!) in a fun afternoon workshop which will help them to discover colour theory and the magic of pointillism, a technique where dots of colour are placed beside each other and mixed by the eye.
The children will be encouraged to express ideas and opinions about the artwork and the gallery space, introducing the tools for critical discourse in a way that is interactive and fun.
Parents are invited to attend and tea and coffee will be provided.
The workshop will be led by artist and independent art educator Clare Breen and is aimed at children aged 9-12 years of age. The workshop costs €5 (free to members of our Supporters Club) and booking is essential as places are limited.

Stepping in to the TBG+S Gallery is always a transformative experience. Leaving behind the cobbled streets, touristy pubs and buskers of Temple Bar, we enter a place of integrity, contemplation and experimentation.
