Open Studio of Annaliisa Krage, awardee of the HIAP residency at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios.

Wednesday 18th June 2019 | 6pm - 7.30pm
Location: TBG+S, meet in the ground floor Gallery.

Annaliisa Krage is the recipient of the HIAP Residency award at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios since May. Annaliisa’s residency in Dublin is based around production of a new body of work for her upcoming group exhibition in Atelierhaus im Anscharpark, Kiel, a solo show in Galerie Pleiku, Berlin and an artist’s book that will be published in Helsinki in 2020.

Krage’s paintings take the form of classical tableaux, painted objects and architectural elements. Her practice stems from reflection on historical painting and the application of techniques in those works. During her May-June residency at TBG+S, Krage has spent time on the production of a new body of work for a solo exhibition at Gaerie Pleiku Berlin, a group exhibition at Atelierhaus Anscharpark, Kiel, and an artist’s book to be published in 2020.

To mark the end of the Krage's term in the studios, join the TBG+S staff for an informal discussion about the artist’s work, and how she has used her studios at TBG+S to develop her practice.

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme) partner each year on a studio residency exchange between Dublin and Helsinki. The programme is supported by Finnish Institute London and Arts Council Ireland.
