Create a dry point etching and display it on the gallery wall.
Friday 6 July 2018 | 4pm - 6pm
Location: TBG+S Gallery
Drop-in, no booking required.
We are thrilled to partner with our neighbours Black Church Print Studio to offer a drypoint printmaking workshop as part of the Summer School.
This workshop will introduce participants to this versatile art form which produces striking results. The session will involve a brief introduction to materials, tools and the history of the Studio, with the participants then utilising reference materials for inspiration or own imagination to create their plates on either aluminium or Axpet (a transparent plastic sheet). Once etched and printed on the etching press we can introduce colour and tone by way of roll ups (a flat or gradiated colour inked and printed from a blank plate over which the etched plate can be printed).
This workshop will be facilitated by Black Church Print Studio Member, Janine Davidson. Final artwork will be exhibited on the gallery wall for the duration of the Summer School.
