Three Year Membership Studio
Three Year Membership Studios offer a three-year tenure to artists who are developing an established, professional practice.
moreSix Year Membership Studios offer a long-term tenure to exceptional visual artists living in Ireland, who are active in their practices.
It's no exaggeration to say that having a studio at TBG+S for an extended period constitutes a remarkable chapter in my life as an artist. It has afforded me the space to think and rethink my practice, against the illuminating backdrop of a window onto Dublin's quays — the city's parlour. What does it mean for the city that artists can work here? To work at TBG+S for this extended time entails a burden of responsibility — to be an artist working in the city, and therefore by extension working for an idea of the city. But it's a burden that cultivates real growth. - Gerard Byrne, Six Year Membership Studio
In 2020, Six Year Membership Studios were awarded to artists Gerard Byrne and Isabel Nolan. In 2026, Six Year Membership Studios were awarded to artists Jaki Irvine and Niamh O'Malley. TBG+S will aim make another open call for Six Year Membership Studios in the coming years. The application form and guidelines on how to apply will be available to download approximately one month prior to the deadline.
