Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (TBG+S) in partnership with HIAP–Helsinki International Artist Programme invites applications from professional visual artists for the eighteenth annual residency exchange between Ireland and Finland in 2026.
The TBG+S/HIAP International Residency Exchange 2026, supported by Finnish Institute, UK + Ireland, supports an artist based in Ireland or an Irish artist living abroad to spend three months in residence at HIAP, Helsinki, from mid–April to mid–July, 2026.
The awarded artist will have access to live/work studios on the island of Suomenlinna, Helsinki. HIAP Suomenlinna atelier apartments are approx. 80 sqm each, furnished, and divided into a working space downstairs and a separate living space consisting of a sleeping area, bathroom, kitchenette, and a loft upstairs.
TBG+S will provide a stipend of €5,000 to contribute to the artist’s living and working expenses, and travel to and from Helsinki.
A Finnish artist will have the opportunity to live in Dublin and work from a studio at TBG+S in 2026, through an open call organised by HIAP.
