An opportunity for individuals, groups, artists, or collectives to hold an hour long event in the gallery.
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios Making Connections: Summer School takes place for the second year from 4 - 7 July 2019. Over 4 days, the entire gallery space will be dedicated to a range of workshops, drop-in art activities and participatory installations. The Summer School gives the public an opportunity to leave their mark and display their work in the gallery, meet artists, and hang out with friends and family. The Summer School is open to all!
As part of our 2019 Summer School, we have two free slots between workshops which we want to give you to use. We are looking for something that is easy for you to set up or stage, that is adaptable in a short turnaround. If you are an individual, are part of a group or collective, an artist, poet, thinker, or maker, who would like to use an area of the gallery to host a one hour event, we want to hear from you! Use this time to share an idea, host a talk, discussion, or a meeting.
The two free slots are at the following times:
- Thursday 4 July, 2pm - 3pm
- Sunday 7 July, 12pm - 1pm
For more information, or if you have an idea you would like to propose, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with reference ‘Two-by-one’ by 12pm on Friday 14 June 2019.
Proposal must include (in an email or single word doc/pdf):
- Event title
- Event description (max 300 words)
- Is this a public event (can the public join in/attend) or is this a closed group?
- How many people are/may be involved?
