Explore spontaneous sculpture making with found and rudimentary materials, looking at methods of display and documentation, with TBG+S Studio Artists Eleanor McCaughey and Richard Proffitt.

This workshop focuses on the artists' exhibition and publication in 2020, What remains of this place?. During the November 2020 lockdown, sculptures and paintings were temporarily installed within their 5km radius of East Wall and Docklands Dublin. The final exhibition was released over one week through the social media platform, Instagram.

Eleanor McCaughey’s is an Irish artist, living and working in Dublin. McCaughey's practice is an evolution of multi-faceted installations, including painting, sculpture, video and sound. Selected exhibitions include Woman in the machine, Visual Carlow, 2021; Super Market Art Fair, Stockholm, 2021; Vignettes, Richard Heller Gallery, LA, USA, 2019 and Tulca, Sytonic State, Galway, 2018.

Richard Proffitt
's work in painting, sculpture, music and video coalesces in large scale, site responsive installations. These immersive and atmospheric environments often evoke an intermingling cosmic universe of esoteric folk religions, the bedroom of a teenage loner and the remote habitat of a psychedelic death cult. Recent exhibitions include A Memory Circular, Kevin Kavanagh, Dublin, 2021; EVA International, Limerick City, 2021; May the moon rise and the sun set, UCC/Glucksman, Cork, 2019 and Display, Link & Cure, The Complex, Dublin, 2019.
