How did the land-sex relation operate in 19th century Ireland? How does it affect us today? Join artist Eimear Walshe for a live in-person workshop based on their publication THE LAND FOR THE PEOPLE: The Sexual Case for Land Reform in Ireland.
Through collaboration and discussion, the workshop moves through a series of challenges to members of Irish society through accessible exercises on themes including inheritance, displacement, community organising, and revenge.
Eimear Walshe is an artist from Longford and a Project Studio member at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. Recent presentations of their work include Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the National Sculpture Factory, EVA International, and the Van Abbemuseum. Walshe is supported by the Arts Council.
This event takes place as part of Dublin Art Book Fair 2021: Manual, sponsored by Henry J Lyons and supported by Dublin UNESCO City of Literature.
