Caroline Hancock presents her curatorial practice, as part of IKT Congress 2014. Open to the public.
Studio 6, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Monday April 14, 6pm
Caroline Hancock, Paris-based curator and member of IKT – the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art – will present a lecture on her independent curatorial practice and research at Studio 6, TBG+S, followed by a Q & A chaired by Maeve Connolly (IADT). This public talk takes place following the IKT Congress 2014, an important international gathering of contemporary art curators hosted by the CCA Derry. IKT is a members organisation that brings together curators from across the world, to meet, share knowledge, exchange ideas and broaden their professional networks. This public talk will explore the importance of language, research and mobility in curatorial practice, and also reflect upon the role of organisations such as IKT.
This event is supported by IADT and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, and by the IKT Harald Szeemann Grant, awarded to Caroline Hancock in 2014.
