Art Book Club Dublin is a monthly discussion group for art makers, thinkers and viewers to talk about art books in a mutually supportive environment. This peer lead self-organised alternative art education structure seeks theory outside the canon to expand a diverse and textured understanding of contemporary art.
At each meeting, the forum will discuss a text selected and introduced by one of the members. We will focus on the text’s relationship to our practice but this can be art, writing, curation, work or interest. We welcome those who approach art from an alternative perspective as well as those who have come via the art education route.
Art Book Club is hosted by Temple Bar Gallery + Studios as part of the Studio 6 Open programme. Art Book Club runs over 6 meetings from November - May.
If you would like to be part of Art Book Club please send a short bio (100 words or less) to artbookdublin@gmail.com. Deadline for applications is Wednesday 1 November 2017
