Frank Sweeney Screening Series
07 October — 04 November 2025, Tuesdays | 6pm
A screening series curated by exhibiting artist Frank Sweeney, selected in the context of his new film installation, Go Ye Afar.
15 February 2020, 10am - 11am
As part of the Free Space programme, artist Debi Paul will host an intimate guided meditation event in response to Tragodía, an exhibition by Turner Prize-winning artist Tai Shani.
Morning Practice offers a different way to quietly observe Tai Shani’s work while the gallery is closed to the public. Beginning with a brief overview of the exhibition and followed by a guided meditation, there will be time to observe and engage in conversation about Tai Shani’s sculptural installation, and experience her virtual reality play.
No prior meditation experience necessary, please wear comfortable and extra warm clothes.
Debi Paul is a visual artist and curator. Her interest lies in the communication between bodies and place. At the heart of her work is a curiosity around civic communal spaces and how people embody them, public spaces such as the classroom, the park, and the gallery. Her work aims to disrupt and challenge routine interaction with place through the forms of interpretive dance, craft practices, conversations, and workshops. Debi collaborates with artists, makers, and dancers to explore the phenomenon of connection.
Free Space at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios offers opportunities for artists and arts groups to develop projects, share learning and to host public events, enabling a progressive environment for peer exchange, learning and creativity.
