All welcome.
At the launch of this year’s Dublin Art Book Fair, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios will pay tribute to artist and writer Jason Oakley (1968 -2015). There will be readings by Declan Long, Aisling Prior, Sarah Pierce and Sheena Barrett who have been invited to make a selection from Jason writings, with an introduction by Cora Cummins.
Jason Oakley was a member of TBG+S Curatorial Panel in 2010 when he proposed the idea of ‘a Dublin Art Book Fair’ (the Fair, has now become an important part of our annual artistic programme). TBG+S is grateful to Visual Artists Ireland, where Jason worked for more than 20 years as Publication Managers and Editor of The Visual Artists New Sheet, who kindly allowed us access to its archive to select from Jason’s writings in the VAN (Visual Artists New Sheet)
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is dedicating the 2016 Dublin Art Book Fair to the memory of Jason Oakley

Stepping in to the TBG+S Gallery is always a transformative experience. Leaving behind the cobbled streets, touristy pubs and buskers of Temple Bar, we enter a place of integrity, contemplation and experimentation.
