FREE drop in listening and sound making workshop for all ages with Karl Burke
Join artist Karl Burke to explore the soundscape of the city, focusing on the Temple Bar region, and create your own aural landscape using instruments and digital technology to interrupt and overlap with the sounds of the area. Participants are invited to come back or stay for the last 15 minutes of the session for a presentation of some of the sound recordings from the day. This workshop is running in conjunction with the Temporary Structures workshop in Meeting House Square with artists Tanad Williams and Andreas Kindler von Knobloch.
Karl Burke's art practice is primarily concerned with perceptions, both emotional and physical, of our three dimensional world, and takes the form of sculpture, installations, photographs, video and sound.
A Temple Bar Gallery + Studios event for Bealtaine @ Temple Bar, organised in partnership with Age & Opportunity as part of the nationwide Bealtaine festival – celebrating the arts and creativity as we age.
