In October 2026, Bryony Dunne will spend three months in residence at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), Brooklyn, New York. This residency awards an artist with a high-quality studio; a travel, accommodation and living stipend; in addition to studio visits and off-site trips to museums, galleries and other cultural organisations. It supports an artist at a pivotal point in their practice with significant experience on a programme designed to build international links through a growing network of artists and curators who are ISCP alumni.
Dunne works across film, sculpture and photography to explore how humans often attempt to control and contain the natural world. Her work spans vast timelines and unlikely subjects – from ancient tetrapod tracks and avian migration routes, to historic sugar sculptures. Combining docu-fiction filmmaking with ceramic sculptural forms and installation, Dunne explores the blurred lines between nature, myth and scientific record, questioning our desire to stage and possess the environment around us.
