TBG+S Writer 2017: Gavin Corbett - Essay #4 ‘Nexus’

10 October 2017

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is delighted to announce the fourth in the series of commissioned essays by writer Gavin Corbett. The TBG+S Writing Commission aims to expand ideas around writing about art by inviting Irish authors to create a series of pieces inspired by the exhibitions at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. The series of short essays will be available online and in the gallery.

The essay, Nexus is written in response to the solo exhibition Double Movement by Gavin Murphy. Double Movement includes works in film, installation, sculpture, text and photography and stems from the artist's in-depth research into the now defunct Eblana theatre, which was located in the basement of Dublin’s famous central bus station Busáras. The exhibition continues until Saturday 18 November 2017. For more information on the exhibition please click here.
