Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and Art & Process (MA), Crawford College of Art and Design CIT are delighted to announce that Jennifer Redmond is this year’s recipient of the TBG+S/MA:AP Graduate Residency Award 2015.
This month-long residency allows one selected artist to work from a studio at TBG+S and it is aimed specifically at artists who have graduated from MA:AP in the last 3 years.
The residency aims to assist artists who have been based in Cork to spend a focused period of time living and working in Dublin, developing their practice further and creating new networks and connections at this crucial point in their careers. The recipient receives a free studio at TBG+S for the duration of 1 month (September 2015).
TBG+S are looking forward to working with Jennifer! The residency will culminate in a public studio event at the end of September 2015.
Jennifer Redmond graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.Ed (Hons). She is a recent MA (Art and Process) graduate from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design (2014). Redmond has worked as a visual artist for the past fifteen years and has been a teacher and a freelance journalist for the Irish Examiner. Her artistic practice is concentrated on drawing but she is also interested in relational art and collaborative enterprises and critical art writing. Her work looks at ways to think about the complexities of our era, about information, the networks by which we communicate and are connected, and about imaging a future collapsing into the present, where border distinctions fail and taxonomies are obsolete.
