Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and our partners the Central Bank of Ireland are delighted to have been shortlisted for Best Mid-Size Sponsorship in the 2017 Allianz Business to Arts Awards for our partnership programme 'Creative Generations'. This education programme sees TBG+S artists Andreas Kindler Von Knobloch and Maria McKinney, working with young people from Synge Street CBS and O'Connell CBS in central Dublin, to produce workshops and to create a new art work that intervenes in the architectural landscape of the school.
Central to the programme are the two artists’ residencies, where TBG+S artists, are situated in the schools over a number of weeks. Andreas Kindler Von Knobloch was located in Synge Street CBS over the Spring term 2017. Maria McKinney will be in residence in O’Connell Primary School, over the Autumn term in 2017.
2017 sees the Allianz Business to Arts Awards celebrate 26 years of world-class partnerships across arts and business. The Allianz Business to Arts Awards recognise and champion the spirit of collaboration between businesses, artists and arts organisations that develop creative partnerships; bringing the arts and artists into mutually beneficial relationships across society.
The 2017 Allianz Business to Arts Awards will take place on Monday 4 September 2017 at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. #ABtoAAwards
