TBG+S are pleased to present the final talk in our series by Declan Long,'In Praise of Extremity' on Wednesday May 13th at 6pm. Following on from a successful series of talks, TBG+S have invited Declan to speak to the Supporters Club on our current theme of, ‘production, practice, ideas’, with more details about the focus of his talk in due course.

Declan Long is an Irish Art Critic and Co-Director of the MA 'Art in the Contemporary World' in the National College of Art and Design. He lectures in modern and contemporary art in the Faculty of Visual Culture and was a judge for the Turner Prize 2013.

This year's Supporters Club Talks series presents four speakers on the theme of 'production, practice, ideas'. Following on from artist Jaki Irvine's Talk 'On holding on and letting go', in which Jaki presented three recent film works and the ideas and concepts that connect them, artist-curator Gavin Wade's talk ‘The Artist and the Engineer’, on his work at East Side Projects Birmingham and Francis McKee's (Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow) brilliant talk entitled 'On Going Furthur, Faster' looking at Francis’ academic research in the field of Psychedelia, TBG+S is pleased to announce Declan Long (National College of Art and Design, Dublin) will be our final guest speaker in this current series.
