As part of the TBG+S/HIAP Residency Exhcange, Sara Bjarland opens up her studio to share what she has been working on to conclude her residency at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios.

To conclude her residency at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, as part of the TGB+S/HIAP exchange, Sara Bjarland opens up her studio to share what she has been working on. Working mainly with found objects, she has been using the studio as a space for experiment and reflection, creating sculptural works and installation.
Sara Bjarland is a Finnish artist currently living and working in Amsterdam. She graduated with an MFA in Fine Art Media from The Slade School of Fine Art in London in 2007, and later attended the post-academic studio programme HISK in Ghent in 2012-2013. Recent shows include The Prophecy of Bees, curated by Julia Geerlings at Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen (NL), Cryopreservation NEED FLOWERS TOMORROW? curated by Nathaniel Pitt, Syson Gallery, Nottingham; Invasive Exotics at RAM Galleri, Oslo; and the solo shows Fem studier i metamorfos at The Finnish Institute in Stockholm and Neither Thing Nor Nothing at Hopstreet Gallery, Brussels.
