Showcasing artworks by Palestinian children aged 3 – 17, the project gives a platform to their voices through their art. They ask us to bear witness to their weariness, fear and loss, but also to their resilience and determination as they continue to embrace childhood, celebrating friendship, family, hobbies, pets, and birthday cake.
What started as a WhatsApp exchange of children’s art between friends Féile Butler in Sligo and Mohammed Timraz in central Gaza, has grown into the project HeART of Gaza. Via social media, the project quickly captured the imagination of solidarity groups around the world. There have been over 120 collaborative exhibitions to date, from Chicago to London, Berlin to Rome.
HeART of Gaza will be on display 17– 20 July at Temple Bar Gallery+ Studios, coinciding with Summer School 2025.
Group tours available by appointment. For more information contact Féila Butler.
Event location description: Entry is through the street-facing Gallery. Staff will be present to direct you to the tour. The project is in an internal ground floor atrium.
