Young Art Writers workshop with poet Annemarie Ní Churreáin
14 — 21 April 2026, 6–7:30pm
A two-part art writing workshop led by poet Annemarie Ní Churreáin in response to Lucy Stein’s current exhibition Lunula
14 September 2025, 2pm
Take time to explore the work of Ella Bertilsson, Kathy Tynan and Emily Waszak in the group exhibition Faigh Amach, through the act of drawing in the Gallery.
This is an adult workshop and is suitable for anyone new to or curious about contemporary art. No experience necessary.
Experiment with slow observational and mindful drawing in the Gallery. Taking inspiration from the group exhibition Faigh Amach, you will look at how the work of the three artists sits together in the space and take inspiration from the different ideas and mediums throughout the exhibition to experiment with looking through drawing.
Beginning with a short introduction to the exhibition and some warm-up exercises, participants will be free to draw within the exhibtion space, and share as they wish. Limited materials are supplied and you are free to bring your own.
Event Location Information: Entrance is through the street-facing Gallery with a small step into the building. Artworks are free standing and on the wall. There are some film works with low sound. Daylight lights the room through a large window and there is some additional electric lighting. There will be cushions, chairs and drawing boards provided. For further accessibility information please contact Learning + Public Engagement Curator Órla Goodwin.
