DABF25 Tour | Artist Book Spotlight
05 December 2025, 2pm
Further Information
The first of two tours spotlighting a selection of the artist books at this year's Dublin Art Book Fair.
Join us for an informal tour of the artist books at Dublin Art Book Fair (DABF) hosted by TBG+S Gallery + Studio Coordinator Anna Maye. Anna will introduce a selection of the outstanding artist books, sharing her insight into their concept, design, how they came to be made, and the artists behind them. She will touch upon recurring themes across this year’s submissions, such as subject matter, material, formatting and the approaches taken by artists in creating their publication.
Each year, DABF is proud to present an impressive collection of artist books, from Ireland and abroad, selected through an open call. The resulting Artist Book Section at DABF features books made by contemporary artists, designers, art writers, and others, who experiment in a myriad of ways with the medium of the book exploring its potential for artistic expression. All the books on display at DABF are available for the public to browse and buy if they wish.
Anna Maye is an artist and TBG+S Gallery + Studio Coordinator. Her background is in fine art printmaking and contemporary art theory. It is Anna’s fourth year managing the Artist Book section at DABF where she works closely with the participating artists.
Dublin Art Book Fair (4–14 December 2025) is a centre for contemporary artist books offering a wide selection of artist publications and titles from creative, small and independent publishers, both Irish or international, to browse or buy. In conjunction with the Fair, DABF presents an event programme of book launches, publishers talks, and workshops offering ways to engage and gain insight into contemporary independent and arts publishing.
Event location information: This event takes place in a ground-floor, street-facing Gallery. The space contains tables of various heights displaying books. There may be limited movement for some. For further accessibility information please contact Learning + Public Engagement Curator Órla Goodwin.
