Join TBG+S Studio Artist Tamsin Snow to experiment with the art of paper marbling.
Drop in anytime and have fun trying your hand at the ancient art of paper marbling. Explore and experiment with a modern take on this mindful process. With inks and water and other unusual ingredients create stylised designs on paper you can use to cover books. You can even make your own bookmarks or books at home.
Marbling is an old art originally from the East and is also known in Japan as Suminagashi (墨 流 し) or ‘floating ink’. Traditionally used as book covering and book end sheets.
This a drop-in family friendly event, no experience is necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Dublin Art Book Fair is Ireland’s leading art book fair and centre for artist books. Taking place in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios over ten days, DABF champions small, creative and independent publishers, both Irish and international and artist books.
