Therry Rudin
Therry Rudin was born in Switzerland and has lived in Germany, USA and Brazil. She attended the ‘Basler Kunst Gewerbe Schule’ and the ‘Kunst Akademie’ in Munich, Germany. She first came to Ireland in 1985 and lived in Limerick for five years, where she founded the art school ‘Studio 55’ and published the arts magazine ‘Anima’. She now lives in Ballybritt Co Offaly and Barcelona. She lectures in the Fine Art Department of Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She has exhibited widely in Ireland, Switzerland, Brazil and USA in selected solo and group shows. She exhibits regularly in collaboration with the artist Patricia Hurl. In 2005 - 2010 curator of ‘Living Landscape’ Symposium in collaboration with the West-Cork-Arts-Centre, part two curator of a publication 'Living Landscape' Barcelona/West-Cork-Arts-Centre. At the moment finalising the video art production, ‘the lark in the clear air’ with the support of the ‘Monastery’ St Joseph Roscrea and Film Base. And is working on a solo show for the Birr Vintage Arts Festival in the Birr Theatre Arts Centre County Offaly 2011. Newly her work is in the art collection of County Clare 2011.
