Eoghan Ryan
Eoghan Ryan works across video installation, performance, puppetry, text and collage to explore the intricacies of how power is communicated through mediated culture, specifically how working from inside a system can open space to question the structures that sustain its authority. His process involves long periods of editing and attention to a specific person, site, object or song, shaping these encounters into fable-like reflections on how shared narratives and individual experiences become entangled within broader institutional environments. He is currently interested in how histories of community action intersect with faith, and in the contradictions that emerge when movements grounded in pacifism and social justice align with compromised moral or religious positions.
