Temple Bar Gallery + Studios invites applications from artists for the TBG+S Recent Graduate Residency Award 2026 offering professional development, an artist bursary and one-year studio.
The TBG+S Recent Graduate Residency Award is an annual award that assists an emerging artist in focusing their studio practice at a crucial point in their career. It provides an opportunity for artists to develop their careers, within the supportive creative community of TBG+S, and among other professional artists.
This opportunity supports the professional development of a recent graduate artist and offers a large free studio for one year, €7,000 artist bursary, and a variety of institutional supports, to an artist who has graduated from an undergraduate degree in the past three years.
In 2026, this opportunity is aimed at all artists who have graduated from a Fine Art (or related) BA/BFA in any recognised university or third level institution in Ireland and Irish artists who have graduated from a Fine Art (or related) BA/BFA outside of Ireland, in the past three years (2025/2024/2023).
TBG+S is committed to ensuring that it takes positive policy measures to promote equality of opportunity for all visual artists applying regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, civic or family status, religion, age, disability, socio-economic background, race, or membership of the Travelling community. Therefore, we welcome applications from practicing Visual Artists that are representative of the diversity of Irish society, including, but not limited to any of the characteristics outlined.
