For Cruinniú na nÓg 2021, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios presents a live interactive visit to artist Lynda Devenney's studio at TBG+S, where you'll get to see where an artist works, explores ideas and makes art.
Seeing the artist’s studio as a place to imagine and experiment, you will then work with the artist, taking inspiration from your own body and materials at home to create art together.
In the interactive workshop, taking inspiration from the work of artist Franz West and Lynda’s own art, we will explore how we might expand the body through making and using handheld devices and tools. We will work together to create these devices and tools, thinking about action and movement to generate and activate imaginary objects that have a function. We will wrap, conceal and combine objects such as household items, recyclable materials or any found objects to create our own objects to extend the body and how we move and work!
By working and talking directly with an artist in their studio, this workshop aims to inspire you to see creative possibilities in your everyday world!
An information pack detailing artists, materials and preparation will be sent to you prior to the workshop.
This free live online event will take place on Saturday 12 June 2021 at 2pm (1 hour duration).
