Membership and Project Studios
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios has thirty individual artists’ studios with excellent, low-tech facilities in a secure, comfortable and professional environment. In any one year, in excess of forty artists will avail of the subsidised workspaces at TBG+S.
There is an annual competitive selection process to award Membership Studios (Three Year) and Associate Membership or Project Studios (6 months – 1 Year) to professional working artists born in or resident in Ireland. International artists and curators may apply for shorter period vis-à-vis the International Studio Programme.
The thirty artists’ studios are of varying dimensions ranging from 21m/sq to 55m/sq and are priced between €185 - €273 per month inclusive of bills. Every year, a number of studios will become available for Membership or Associate Membership. On average, the selection committee awards ten to twelve artists studio occupancies at TBG+S each year.
Rental includes utilities, waste disposal, wireless broadband, limited use of digital equipment register and tools, access to reading room with visual art journals, scanning and print facilities. Artists cite the city centre location, the security and comfort of the studios and opportunities for professional development, as primary reasons for wanting a workspace at TBG+S. The artists’ studios are working spaces only and are not residential.
