TBG+S announces new graduate studio award

Graduate Studio Award 2012/13

In 2012 Temple Bar Gallery + Studios will for the first time be inviting participants to a new studio award aimed specifically at artists who have recently graduated from a Bachelors degree in fine Art.

All artists who graduated from a Bachelors degree in Fine art in Ireland or abroad since 2009 are eligible to apply.

The Graduate Studio Award aims to assist graduate artists in focussing their studio practices at this crucial point in their careers, and to encourage more emergent artists to get involved with Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. As well as receiving a free studio at TBG+S for a duration of six months, the awardee will get the benefit of mentoring and support from the staff and artists at TBG+S. This could include studio visits from curatorial staff and visiting curators, assistance with applications, mentoring from studio artists, and free enrolment on courses with TBG+S affiliated organisations.

The successful applicant for the graduate studio award will have a strong and confident emerging studio practice, and will be able to articulate why and how they feel they would benefit from the opportunity.
