The Dublin Art Book fair is a project that aims to publicise and distribute art books and publications in Dublin. Over the first weekend in December, The gallery at TBG+S, in the heart of Dublin’s cultural quarter, will become a market fair at which over twenty publishers from Ireland and abroad specialising in art books will be represented. TBG+S invites you to come and browse the extensive range of unique books and publications, which will be for sale.
TBG+S also invites artists to submit their books and publications to be distributed at the fair. Artists who make books, artists who have self published books and catalogues will be given the space at the fair to distribute their work. This is a unique opportunity to purchase rare publications by Irish artists which may not be available anywhere else.
As well as this, Curator Aoife Tunney has selected a large art magazine archive, offering visitors a chance to linger in our reading area and peruse the magazines on offer.
There will be a full programme of live events such as readings, discussions and talks taking place in the reading area of the fair.
Some of the live events taking place over the weekend include discussions on art book distribution, self publishing and book design, as well as artists, curators and publishers reading from and discussing their favourite publications.
Publishers taking part in the fair include Trigger Editions, Edition Book Arts, Sun Moon and Stars Press, Red Fox Press, JRP/Ringier Kunstverlag, Lubok Verlag, Book Works, Empty Press Publiacations, Four Corners Books, Belfast Exposed, Sternberg Press, Mermaid Turbulence, Allotrope Press, Road Books, Booklyn Inc, Butler Gallery, The Douglas Hyde and more...
