Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is delighted to present Robinson in Ruins, by British film maker Patrick Keiller. Robinson in Ruins is supposed to have been photographed by a fictional character, Robinson, on a ten-month journey through landscapes in the south of England during the evolving banking crisis of 2008. According to introductory captions, the footage was found in a derelict caravan and passed to 'researchers' who arranged it as the film. The material was also the basis for an exhibition The Robinson Institute.

Places for this screening, which was to be a Supporters Club members only event, have been opened up to all, and are free of charge. To book please email muriel@templebargallery.com

We hope to rescedule Parick Keiller's Supporters Club Talk at TBG+S, which has been cancelled due to unforseen health issues.

Patrick Keiller’s films include London (1994), Robinson in Space (1997) extended as a book in 1999, The Dilapidated Dwelling (2000) and Robinson in Ruins (2010). Other works include the exhibitions Londres, Bombay (Le Fresnoy, Tourcoing, 2006) and The Robinson Institute (Tate Britain, 2012), the latter accompanied by a book The Possibility of Life’s Survival on the Planet (Tate Publishing, 2012). His essay collection The View from the Train: Cities and Other Landscapes was published by Verso in 2013.
